I am thrilled to announce the location of my upcoming trip with Save the Children and the IKEA Foundation. I am going to KOSOVO and am counting down the days.
Each year during the holidays IKEA gives $1 for every soft toy we sell in every IKEA store around the world. The IKEA Foundation is one of the largest donors for UNICEF and Save the Children.
About a year ago all coworkers in the United States were able to apply for the opportunity to represent IKEA as an iWitness to the work that is being done with our donations. I was blessed to be one of six co-workers chosen for this opportunity.
Through the iWitness program, we will get to see first-hand how the campaigns we support create a better everyday life for children and families in developing countries. I will be the eyes and ears for everyone to be able to understand how Save the Children is making a difference in Kosovo and around the world.
I will update as often as technology will allow. You can also follow our journey at http://blog.ikeafoundation.org
As if this isn't exciting enough, a couple of us are going to fly to Turkey after the trip and spend a week exploring. I will spend #LIVELOUD day in Turkey and will share these adventures with you as well!
The postings on this blog are my own and don’t necessarily represent any positions, strategies, or opinions of IKEA.
